Rusty

Author: Elizabeth Henning

Rusty was born on a farm in the Eastern Cape. He was a friendly puppy and just loved
to play all day long, scampering in and out of the big old barn chasing the chickens and ducks and making
lots of noise, which disturbed Mr. Owl and sometimes made him cross, but Rusty was such a happy dog.
No one could stay cross with him for long. One day a family from the town came to visit the farmer and his wife.
They had a little boy with them who was so excited to see all the farm animals, but when he saw Rusty he wanted
Rusty for his very own, so he promised his parents he would take the very best care of Rusty making sure he always
had water and was well fed and loved. The farmer gave his permission for the boy to take Rusty to his new home.
That boys and girls was the beginning of Rusty making new friends and going on exciting adventures.

Ryk Armgat

Skrywer: Elsabé Welman

Wimpie Berg is ’n stil, agtermekaar, jongman.
